Andrzej Rzymkowski

Andrzej Rzymkowski, saxophone, completed his music studies at the Music Academy with Professor Leslaw Lic (saxophone class). Having received his diploma with distinction he continued instrumental studies with Gunter Priesner in Nuremberg. He has participated in World Saxophone Congresses and International master classes taught by Professor Jean-Marie Londeix, Professor Iwan Roth, and Professor Ed Bogaard.

At present, he runs the saxophone class at the Music Academy in Cracow. He has taught master class at the academic centres at home and abroad. He has been a jury member of Polish and International saxophone competitions.

Andrzej Rzymkowski is a founder and president of the Polish Saxophone Association and an honorary member of the ARDESA Association (Arbeitgemeinschaeft Deutsche Saxophonisten e.v.).

In 1987 he founded the Lublin Music Laboratory, a formation that aims at popularisation of modern chamber saxophone music. In 1994 Rzymkowski founded Orsax-Duo, a group performing pieces written for saxophone and organ. He is a founder (1996) and member of the Cracow Saxophone Group. From 1998 he has also co-operated with Ryszard Haba, a percussionist of the Cracow Philharmonic.

Andrzej Rzymkowski has premiered numerous pieces written for him by Polish and foreign composers (including Boguslaw Schaffer and Bertold Hummel). He performs widely as a soloist and chamber musician at home and abroad.

Teresa Ksieska-Falger (piano) graduated from the Music Academy in Cracow, having studied piano with Professor Tadeusz Zmudzinski. She completed her post-graduate studies with Professor J. Sulikowski. She is a piano lecturer, teaching at music colleges and high schools in Lublin.

In 1982-1991 Teresa Ksieska-Falger was Director of theK. Lipinski State Music School of the Primary and Secondary Level in Lublin. Since November 1996 she is Managing Director of the Lublin Philharmonic and singer September 1997 also its Artistic Director.

She has been a jury member at all-Polish and international music competitions.

She has been awarded numerous prizes as an accompanist, including the 3rd, 4th and 5th International Competition for Young Violinists in Lublin and the W.A. Mozart All-Polish Competition in Gdansk. She has made recordings for radio and television. She has performed widely at home and abroad, including Sweden, Germany, Greece, Belgium, Denmark, Austria and South Korea.
