Daniel Rubinoff has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in France, Canada and the United States. His CD, "The Old Castle" has been internationally released on Carnival Records, and is frequently broadcasted on CBC, CJRT and CFMX Radio.
He has appeared on the cover of the international Saxophone Joumal, with a feature article on his career. He won the ARCT Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music for the highest score in the orchestral instrument category. While a resident at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 1994, he recorded a compact disc of saxophone chamber music, and in 199 he recorded as a soloist for the New Jersey-based I Virtuosi label. Rubinoff is an instructor of saxophone at York University, and an affiliate saxophone teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He also gives clinics and masterclasses throughout Ontario, and has taught at the Scarborough Music Camp, the Kincardine Music Festival, and the Claude Watson School for the Arts. Rubinoff's recent composition entitled Tango, was chosen to appear on the Intemational Saxophone Journal's Showcase CD. Rubinoff studied the saxophone with Paul Brodie, James Houlik, and Jean-Marie Londeix. |
