Requested by Shyen Lee, this piece is specially written for this congress by Tzyy-Sheng Lee. In this piece, composer's intention is to bring the Asia cultural tradition and western contemporary techniques together and fusing the two kinds of sound producing: blowing and hitting. For their unique timber and expression capability, saxophone and marimba fascinate many contemporary composers. Tzyy-Sheng Lee will try to explore new expression possibility of the two instruments. It is believed this piece can be another master works of its same kind and saxophone literature.
