Their repertoire spands from the origin of saxophone up to the last days; many composers have written for them.

Recently the Duo has recorded a CD.

Antonio Graziano was born in Naples, begins musicai studies as clarinetist at Conservatorio S.Pietro a Majella in Napoli.

Received a degree In saxophone at Conservatorio In Salerno, soon, he starts his career as sobist, playing many concerts of contemporary music for important musicai events for RAI in Rome. On this occasion he records a CD for EDI-PAN with Gamelan Ensemble under direction of Alessio Vlad and music of Walter Baccile in first performance.

He attended a lot ot master-classes all over the Europe with A. Balsamo, F. Mondelci, G. Gazzani and G. Trovesi, at the Siena Jazz, G. Badolato and L. Monroe in Umbria Jazz, J.M. Londeix and C. Delangle and international courses of saxophone in Fermo (Italy).

During the last year, he represented Italy at the International Competition dedicated to Astor Piazzolla In Castelfidardo (Italy), and won the first prize with Orchestra Neofonia, that recorded on CD a program dedicated to this composer for Kicco Music.

He has played in a several concerts all over Europe such as the Umbria Jazz, Siena Jazz, Cité de la Musique and Auditorium du Louvre de Paris, Palau de la Música de Valencla (Spain - 11th World Saxophone Congress).

Presently, he performs with Cianiel Band and with Persimfans Saxophone Ensemble which he founded in 1989.

Gianni Gambardella, italian pianist and conductor, was born in Napoli.

He received his degree in piano at the Conservatorio S. Pietro a Majella in Napoli, and attended courses in conducting with Piero Bellugi in Pisa (Italy).

As conductor he made his debut in 1992 at the Liberac Opera Festival, dedicated to Italian Opera, where he conducted the Liberec Symphonic Orchestra in The Barber of Seville and La Traviata.

He has collaborated with a lot of important musical associations such as Teatro Marcello in Rome, Teatro S. Carlo in Naples, Ravello Music Festival, Teatro Verdi in Salermo, RAI in Cagliari, Accademia Musicale Pescarese in Italy and in Palau de la Musica of Valencia in Spain, in Romania, at Festival Virtuosos of Leopoli in Ukraine, Statni Divaldo of Liberec in Czech Republic.

He has conducted several important orchestras such as the Philharmonic Orchestra of Oradea, Dinu Lipatti from Satu-Mare (Romania), the North Hungarian Symphony (Hungary), the Philharmonia of Rome and the Praha Sinfonietta.

He has also composed two lyric pictures represented in Napoli in June of 1993. In 1994 he attended a master-class on Film music with Ennio Morricone at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena.

The Sonata by Phil Woods (American alto sax and clarinet jazz player), Esqualo by Astor Piazzolla (Argentinian composer) and Toccata by Filippo D'Eliso (Italian composer) have in common a melodical, rhythmical and harmonic research that makes a strong suggestion for the stylistic contamination between classical and modern music.
