Andy Cholerton studied performance and composition at Bretton Hall College in Yorkshire and has since gone on to become a noted jazz pianist and composer performing throughout the UK. He has published works for piano, saxophone, jazz ensembles and big band. He has composed scores for musicals and plays and has worked as Musical Director for various theatre companies in the North of England. Until recently Andy worked as a lecturer at the Wakefield College School of Music and is now a music technology and composition advisor for education alongside his performing and composition commitments. Notable performances include the 1994 and 1996 British Saxophone Congresses and he has also worked with some of the county's leading jazz soloists including Tina May, Al Woods, Jim Mullen, Simon Bates, Dave Bishop and Richard lngham. |
